Training session by Andrii Spivak (Zinkovskii)

_DSC0101On Tuesday, 7 April, 2015 Changemakers Toastmasters Club hosted an interesting event. Our member – Andrii Spivak (Zinkovskii), a winner of the second place in the 2013 International Taped Speech Contest – presented the first in the raw of his trainings series of public speaking based on his Toastmasters’ and professional experience.


Our meeting was started by opening remarks from the President of Kyiv School of Economics – Mr. George Logush, who informed the attendees of two _DSC0019Master’s degree programs in Economics of KSE jointly with the University of Houston (UH), which are taught in English by professors, who earned PhDs in European Union and US universities and are considered to be the best in Ukraine, he shortly talked of opportunities in economics studding, comparing Ukraine with the huge economics laboratory where all possible challenges are opened at the moment. Along with Mr. Logush shared his experience of working in the neighbor study with Toastmasters and promised to join our meetings as often as it possible.


Back to Andrii training session during hour and a half everyone eager to get some practical pieces of advice found out of how to “feel on stage like Steve Jobs”. Andrii revealed some helpful tips for audience: how to fight with “red ears” or “red chicks” when you are a presenter, how to relax and tune yourself for the best result, how not to “freeze” and not to forget what to say.

Participants took part in the interactive part of the training demonstrating their experience or mastering skills described by the trainer. Besides at the end we received a useful bonus about how to talk with your boss and how to become a winner of the speech contest.


_DSC0066Changmakers TM Club plans to conduct such trainings regularly together with Andrii Spivak (Zinkovskii) on the basis of KSE once per month or two. Thus follow our news and informational e-mails, or just come and join our meetings on Tuesdays at 19:00 at Ivana Mazepy str., 1.
